Team Turtle Pack!

Behind the Scenes

We thought it was about time that we share a little bit more about the four people behind Turtle Pack, so we all got asked the same (very deep and philosophical!) quick-fire questions!

Ryan Carenduff - Turtle Pack's CEO

Ryan Carenduff, CEO

What’s the best thing about working at Turtle Pack?

It sounds cliché but every day is truly different – one day you can be at a pool photoshoot seeing children have a blast with your products and the next you can be in front of seasoned investors pitching for funding

What’s the worst thing about working at Turtle Pack?

In the same way every day is truly different, it can be an emotional rollercoaster. You can go from the highest high to the lowest low in a matter of hours!

What’s the meaning of life?

I think it differs for every single person but for me it’s about finding something you are passionate about doing that has a positive impact on other people’s lives and doing it to the best of your ability

If you had to give up cheese or chocolate, which would you choose?

Cheese – ain't nobody taking my chocolate away from me!

Are there more doors or wheels in the world?

Mind blown - I need to really do some research and deep thinking before I can commit to this!

Michael Harkins - Turtle Pack Founder

Michael Harkins, Founder

What’s the best thing about working at Turtle Pack?

Knowing that every day we’re making children’s swimming experience better is an incredible feeling.

What’s the worst thing about working at Turtle Pack?

The inability to switch off!

What’s the meaning of life?

To leave the world in a better place than it was when you were born.

If you had to give up cheese or chocolate, which would you choose?

Chocolate! Cheese is a staple of my diet!

Are there more doors or wheels in the world?

Wheels - wheels are used in pretty much everything!

Alyssa Pollock Turtle Pack Trade Sales

Alyssa Pollock, Sales Executive

What’s the best thing about working at Turtle Pack?

I love working with swim school owners up and down the country, because I get to work with them as they grow and develop their businesses.

What’s the worst thing about working at Turtle Pack?

Couriers! When things go wrong (which luckily is very rare!) it can be really challenging to get things resolved. Luckily, our warehouse team are totally on the ball and together we’ve been able to ensure that every customer is reunited with their parcel!

What’s the meaning of life?

To supporting yourself and the people you care about.

If you had to give up cheese or chocolate, which would you choose?

Chocolate! Cheese goes with everything!

Are there more doors or wheels in the world?

I’ve thought about this at length and I’m going to go with doors! People say cars because they have four wheels, but my car has about 20 random little doors/compartments, so I think doors win!

David Sherman Turtle Pack Marketing CMO

David Sherman, Chief Marketing Officer

What’s the best thing about working at Turtle Pack?

The marketer in me wants to say something about the creative side, but really, it’s the incredibly lovely emails we get every week from parents telling us their products helped their kids learn to swim.

What’s the worst thing about working at Turtle Pack?

Sometimes people can be pretty rude on social media and maybe forget that there’s people running a small business behind the brand they see – but luckily our customers and followers have shown us such incredible support, that this is a very minor issue!

What’s the meaning of life?

To quote the powerful cinema that is 1987’s Masters of the Universe; “Only one of you, only one of anybody.”

If you had to give up cheese or chocolate, which would you choose?

Chocolate – although life without Malteasers would be bleak, I couldn’t live without pizza!

Are there more doors or wheels in the world?

Wheels – I found out recently that Lego is the largest producer of tyres, so that makes me feel like it’s wheels!
